Maddie has been teaching with GLM since 2019 and currently teaches Contemporary and Hip Hop classes. She began dancing in 2005 at Eileen Phillips Dance Academy and has loved it ever since. Maddie has extensive experience in many styles including Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Jazz, and has completed all BAL Tap and Jazz examinations.

 

Outside of GLM, Maddie works as a full-time Registered Midwife and has considerable previous experience in customer service and child-minding. Also a passionate netballer, Maddie was a volunteer netball coach with Aggies Netball Club for over 10 years, held the volunteer role of Registrar of MSB Netball Club 2015-2021, now joining Aggies as Registrar in 2022.

 

In her spare time Maddie loves to bake, regularly treating her colleagues at Hornsby Hospital with sweet treats with cakes, cupcakes and slices!

 

The electric feeling of performing on stage, the flexibility, the friends made, and mental benefits of dancing are what keeps Maddie coming back to classes year after year. She feels GLM is like a second home and loves teaching in such a positive environment. The students she teaches are a pleasure and loves the way in which they both laugh and develop in every lesson.
